Households with income over $69,000 can only be served at Tax-Aide or TCE sites.

(In-Person) In-Person tax preparation is completed on-site in one visit. You leave the same day with a completed and electronically filed tax return.

(Drop-Off) During an initial visit to the site, you leave your tax documents with an IRS-certified volunteer. In a second visit, you work with a volunteer to finalize the filing of the tax return. You leave with your tax documents and a completed and electronically filed tax return.

(Scan) During an initial visit to the site, an IRS-certified volunteer digitizes your tax documents and returns them to you on the spot. The digital copies of the documents are used throughout the return preparation process. In a second visit, you work with a volunteer to finalize the filing of the tax return. You leave with a completed and electronically filed tax return.

Use direct deposit: The IRS is phasing out paper tax refund checks, under the executive order Modernizing Payments To and From America’s Bank Account. The IRS encourages taxpayers who do not have a bank account to open one so they can receive refunds by direct deposit.
